Medical Director
Charity Hill, MD, understands pelvic discomfort. She started living with it as a teen, and despite seeking medical treatment, her discomfort continued, playing a part in her decision to become a doctor.
Like many women, Dr. Hill learned to keep her discomfort to herself — behavior that was supported by one of her medical school supervisors who categorized chronic pelvic discomfort as a psychosomatic condition.
Dr. Hill became physiatrist, a medical doctor focused on treating people with physical impairment or pain. In her practice, she began successfully using CBD as an alternative for patients who didn’t want or couldn’t tolerate the side effects of opioids.
Dr. Hill attended the Temple University School of Medicine, the University of Maryland Medical Center, and New York University, and is a member of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is the MedRoots medical director and oversees the formulation of all the products to ensure they are the highest quality.

CEO
Tamar Hill cares about helping people reach their potential. She taught high school biology and coached girls varsity basketball, helping young people find their passion and meet their goals. In that time, she listened to her female students and athletes who struggled with unexplained pelvic discomfort and saw firsthand how difficult it was for young people to speak up and advocate for themselves.
Hill received both her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Occidental College. As MedRoots CEO, she brings empathy and experience to building strong partnerships with medical professionals who treat chronic pelvic disorders so they have trusted CBD products for their patients who need them.
